In this day and age of constant running and busy schedules we find that having Heather as a personal trainer has been the best gift we have given ourselves towards a healthy life. I look forward to personal training with her every week. She is professional and knows both the exercise and nutrition aspect of our bodies. She trains both me and my husband as a couple. It is helping both of us to feel better about ourselves and keeps us on the track to fitness. - Maneesha P., MD
I retired at the age of 70 in 2008. My right hip was killing me. I had been told by a chiropractor and the Doctor who had replaced my left knee and right shoulder that I needed to have my right hip replaced as the hip joint was bone on bone.
After retiring, I joined the Y in Perrysburg. I started working with Heather Harris as my personal trainer. When she heard about my hip problem she introduced me to an exercise for my hips. I started doing it on a regular basis. Within a month or so, my hip was no longer hurting. I have continued including that exercise on a regular basis. Six years later my hip does not bother me. I saw an x-ray of my hip in the fall of 2013. It still showed bone on bone, but because of Heather, my hip muscles are doing the work relieving the pressure on the hip joint. I continued working with Heather until just recently when she changed her practice from the Y to clients’ homes. I found her to be a very professional trainer who always does research to help her clients with their aches and pains. While I have not used her for this, I know that she is very knowledgeable about nutrition. - John F.
Just wanted to put in a plug for Heather from my personal experience. She has been my personal trainer for the past 4 years and she is the best! I say this because she comes to this job formally educated and licensed, with years of experience and wisdom. Her methods are solidly researched and she is in tune to her client's individual needs and sensitivities. No 2 workouts alike and a creative approach to your nutritional needs, are her signature. - Michele D., RN
